Supporting clients who feel stuck: Exploring Ketamine-Assisted Therapy

Supporting Clients Who Feel Stuck: Exploring Ketamine-Assisted Therapy

Curious about psychedelic-assisted therapy but unsure how it works in practice?
Or working with clients who seem stuck despite your best therapeutic efforts?

Join us for a free, informative webinar designed specifically for therapists and counsellors who want to better understand ketamine-assisted therapy and its potential role in supporting clients.

We'll demystify the process, explore how ketamine-assisted therapy can be offered safely and within current legal and clinical frameworks, and discuss how it may complement the work you're already doing with your clients.

Together, we'll explore:

  • What ketamine-assisted therapy actually looks like

  • How it can be offered safely, ethically, and legally

  • Who may be a good candidate — and who may not be

  • How it can support clients who feel stuck in traditional therapy

  • When and how to make a referral

Whether you've been curious about psychedelic-assisted therapy for years or are simply looking for additional options for clients who aren't making progress, this session is an opportunity to ask questions, gain clarity, and expand your therapeutic toolkit.

You don't need to provide ketamine-assisted therapy yourself to understand when it might be a valuable option for your clients.

Hosted by:

Carlin Palme, Registered Psychotherapist, Lead Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist and Clinical Director

“As a therapist, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful therapy can be. I’ve also sat with clients who are doing everything “right”; showing up, reflecting, working hard…and still feel stuck in the same places.

That’s what led me to psychedelic-assisted therapy. In the right setting, it can help people access parts of their experience that feel difficult to reach in traditional therapy alone. When supported and integrated thoughtfully, it can offer a different way into the work, especially for those places that haven’t shifted despite genuine effort.”

Arijana Palme, Social Worker, Director of Operations

“I know what it's like to feel stuck in life; to show up, do the work, have the insights, and still find myself hitting the same walls. To talk in circles, understand why I feel the way I do, but struggle to actually feel or experience something different.

My own experiences with psychedelic-assisted therapy and other altered-state practices have been transformative in helping me move beyond insight and into deeper healing. They've helped me access and work through things that years of talking alone hadn't been able to shift.

That personal experience is what fuels my passion for this work. I know how frustrating it can be to feel like you're doing everything you can and still not moving forward. I also know how powerful it can be to discover another way in. I want more people to have the opportunity to explore these approaches safely, with the right support, when traditional therapy alone hasn't been enough.”

Why Access Therapy?

We're local therapists and humans who share a deep interest in the potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy and a commitment to making this work accessible, safe, and sustainable in our community.

Over the past year and a half, we've dedicated ourselves to learning, training, building relationships, and thoughtfully developing a service that brings together clinical expertise, careful screening, and ongoing therapeutic support.

Today, we've grown into an interdisciplinary team of nine practitioners, working collaboratively to guide clients through each stage of the ketamine-assisted therapy process.

We're excited to share what we've learned, answer your questions, and connect with fellow therapists who are curious about how this emerging approach might fit into the broader landscape of mental health care.

Our goal isn't to replace the important work you're already doing — it's to help expand the options available to you and your clients.

Please note, this is a live webinar and we’ll be answering your questions in real-time. But if you’re unable to attend, we will share a recording of the meeting with you afterwards.
