Meet Taryn.

Starting therapy is a big step, and one that can come with lots of anxiety and potentially many questions. My goal is to help guide you during the first steps of this process and to provide an informative and warm welcome to the world of therapy. As one of the first faces you will see, I want to make this process feel easy for you. I am here to answer any questions that you may have and to address any concerns that may come up. My priority is making sure that you feel safe, heard, and well-informed. Rest assured that any questions you may have are worth asking. It is always better to be informed than to be left wondering.

As someone who has struggled with anxiety throughout my life, I understand how hard it can be to start something new. Beginning my own journey with therapy was a scary one. I didn't find the right person right away, but upon doing so, the world began to open up to me. Every-day activities that had once caused me so much mental discomfort began to come easier, and even still, as the days pass, I find myself opening up to new experiences that would not have been possible for me otherwise.

I hope that I can set you on the right path to experience some of the same relief that I have felt during my journey with therapy. After all, that's all that this is about: giving you the space you need to just feel even the smallest bit better during your day-to-day.

Taryn the Person

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?

A mocha, and some time to focus on my art. Sitting down and using my hands to create something always leaves me feeling better than when I started.

If you could snap your fingers and make the world better, what would you do?

I would create better access to mental health support for everyone. Sometimes, the thing that people need the most is just having someone to talk to, and unfortunately, that is not accessible for everyone in this current world.

Do you live by any words of wisdom or a motto? If so, care to share it?

"My figs cannot rot, for I am the tree." - Based on the poem “Fig Tree” by Sylvia Plath, this quote reminds me to slow down and feel content with where I am in life. Although there are so many things I want to see and do, I have time, and I do not need to rush.

Taking this first step is something to be proud of. I’m excited to help guide you on this journey. - Taryn
